JorgeBon Posted December 23, 2020 ID:1428768 Share Posted December 23, 2020 Hello, I've got a bit of a paranoia problem. I've been trying to use Paint.net again but I have been a bit unsure overall if certain files are safe. If Im not mistaken, I should have installed it from the official site. Eitherway, here are the scans from virustotal. https://www.virustotal.com/gui/file/57907e1d9b477dde29a1e97fd313bcdd1f0857b7d2875676b3272093dde08531/detection https://www.virustotal.com/gui/file/41e4d5ad233225866c339e9d1dab6981283ea74593b1e644b5d61841525fcad2/detection I apologize in advance if this is a pointless question, just making sure. One detection from an off the wall company does not make the file bad. The official installer from here is clean. https://www.virustotal.com/gui/file/a4c3b3051d8d2f59cde19b6fcc433bc05a5e3cf0cdba41b8cb59e8aad02f31b8/detection
JorgeBon Posted December 23, 2020 Author ID:1428787 Share Posted December 23, 2020 Alright, thankfully I also scanned the installer I got and it shared the same hash as the one you linked, thanks for confirming that. Anyway, sorry for the trouble, seems like this was just a pointless scare from my own mind, thank you for clearing that up.
