Malwarebytes suddenly detecting a game .exe file as malware?

I was playing a game called SAMP and I was tabbed out of the window. I tabbed back in, it said the server was restarting, and the an error log came up. I couldn't X out of the log so I opened up task manager and force closed the app. I went to reopen SAMP as it isn't too unusual for it to crash...and Malwarebytes then put it into quarantine and said it detected malware. So, I removed all my game files (

Hiya Silveroak,

Can you restore that file back from quarantine... when complete upload to VirusTotal to be checked..

Go to http://www.virustotal.com/
 
  • Click the Choose file button
  • Navigate to the file C:\Users\Alister\Desktop\samp.exe
  • Click the Scan it tab
  • If you get a message saying File has already been analyzed: click Reanalyze file now
  • Copy and paste the URL address back here please.

1. Go here: http://virusscan.jotti.org/ to get to Jotti's site. Accept the cookie option.

2. Use the Browse button to locate the following file on your system:

C:\Users\Alister\Desktop\samp.exe

3. Once you have located the file, click SUBMIT and the content of the file will be uploaded by the site and analysed.

4. Please provide me with the results of the analysis.
