Is there a beta for Big Sur running on the new M1 poc?

Recommended Posts

There isn't a publicly available beta of a Universal build of Malwarebytes for Mac yet, but I believe the current version should run on Apple Silicon using Rosetta 2.

You can enable "Beta Application Updates" in the Mac app Preferences/Settings->General when a native beta becomes available.

Well, he current release doesn't seem to want to run happily on my MBA with a M1 SOC with the following

  System Version: macOS 11.1 (20C5061b)

  Kernel Version: Darwin 20.2.0

  Model Name: MacBook Air

  Model Identifier: MacBookAir10,1

  Chip: Apple M1

Total Number of Cores: 8 (4 performance and 4 efficiency)

  Memory: 16 GB

  System Firmware Version: 6723.61.3

I am certain the staff will need to see the crash report along with other diagnostic information and perhaps need to put Malwarebytes into "debug" mode in order to generate additional logs. That information should not be submitted here, so they will undoubtedly ask you to open a trouble ticket.

Suggest you wait for further instructions either here or by DM when they get in tomorrow. @adas @treed

Hello @nicholasg,

Please download the latest build 4.6.12 which address the installation issue for Big Sur 11.1.

Download link > https://downloads.malwarebytes.com/file/mb-mac

If this doesn't help to resolve the issue with your system, we recommend to create a support ticket from  https://support.malwarebytes.com/hc/en-us/requests/new

and provide us a system report created with the help of our support tool.
For instructions please refer to below article  (please don't post the zip file here)
