Malwarebytes will not connect to the internet

This is the second time I have had problems with Malwarebytes Privacy not connecting to the internet despite my system having an internet connection, and my trying everything possible to get the app working. At other times I have had problems connecting but have eventually managed to do so. 

I attach the necessary zip file and await the problem please being fixed.

 I am no expert but I just had this problem and I can tell you what finally fixed it for me. If this doesn't work, then the experts here can continue on. Open your Malwarebytes Anti-Mlalware, click on the settings (little gear). From the General tab, scroll down to where it says Beta Updates, and turn it on. Then scroll back up to Application Updates and click on Check for Updates. If it finds one, run it then see if Privacy works.
