Unable to update because update is already in progress.

Hello, when i try to update malwarebytes it says it cant as its updating already, only when i quit and launch again i can update. please can someone help out. thanks. i have the premium version.

When the system first launches it is already going to reach out and check for updates. If you launch it and try to manually update it during that process, is when you'll see that error.

You also have settings to allow when to check for updates automatically on schedule.

In general if you want to manually check then you'd need to wait a few minutes. It's really best though that you keep an automated task scheduled to check for updates so that you don't forget and the program stays up to date automatically
