Operator Choice for ALL Detected Items

 AdwCleaner should present ALL potential problems it finds for operator choice of removal or reinstall from quarantine. My experience with version 8.0.8 is that it removes everything it finds EXCEPT for PUPs which are quarantined. I think best practice is to have the option of user choice for what is removed or marked for exclusion but that is not available except for PUPs. If one examines the logs one can see that there are several other classes of items that are detected but currently always removed without being able to reinstall since they are not quarantined.

I'm not sure if it covers all possible detections, but the current version of ADWCleaner includes two tabs/sections for quarantined items; one called Items and the other called Preinstalled software as documented in this support article.

If there are additional detections you are seeing which are not being quarantined, please let me know and I will put in a request to the Product team to consider adding the ability to quarantine and restore those items/classification of items as well.

To be sure I understand correctly, are you talking about the fact that it's not possible to select individual components of Preinstalled Software detections (as opposed to what is possible to do for PUPs)?

Compare the two attached logs for S01 and C02. Not C01 because S01 and S02 were run one from a command line and the other from the GUI. I then ran C02 from the GUI without realizing that the only cleaning choice would be for PUPs placed in quarantine.

AdwCleaner deleted, in addition to PUPs from my Registry, several folders WITHOUT giving me any choice in the matter and, as far as I know, without the possibility of reinstalling them.

I am suggesting that the operator should be given choice for ALL deletions.

Yes, but my comment would apply to any detected item other than PUPs.
