MacOS Big Sur Upgrade Difficulties.

Recommended Posts

Thanks for the post @1PWI've been looking at those posts on MacRumors Forum. As usual, I'll wait until all or most of the bugs are ironed out before I upgrade. :)

Apple servers where overwhelmed today, resulting in several issues, some of which have taken hours to resolve. The Big Sur installer became corrupted and had to be temporarily removed so servers could be rebuilt. All seems to be back to normal at this time.

True.  I downloaded, installed, with many intervening reboots, and I'm up okay now.  It's going to take me awhile to get used to the new default desktop.

macOS Big Sur 11.0.1 (20B29) and Malwarebytes v4.6.11.3824 - 4.0.505 on my MBP11,3 do seem to mesh together okay.  Manual scans take a bit longer but probably it was to be expected.  A manual scan is a little over three minutes and isn't that bad.
