Template core/front/global/favico is throwing an error.

Recommended Posts

Please advise me why I am receiving this error. It appears on all themes at the top of the forum page above the MBAM logo. Using FF latest version but error appeared only today 16:20 Sydney Australia time 20 Oct 2020.

Full message is:

[[Template core/front/global/favico is throwing an error. This theme may be out of date. Run the support tool in the AdminCP to restore the default theme.]]

We are seeing reports of the same favicon/'theme out of date' error on another Invision v4.5 forum.

(I get the error on Android, but not on Windows).

Obviously an Invision problem.

I reported it as well to @AdvancedSetup last night and I'm not seeing it now.

I'm using Cosmos 4.5

I haven't seen it in a while either, so I'm guessing it might be fixed already.

I agree that the issue seems to have stopped occurring, but we still want to know what happened and why. Especially since the error indicated it was with a specific template file used by every theme that was still the default shipping version in all our themes.

Must be a glitch somewhere and I'm sure Invision will figure it out. 🤞
