Have you tried running Malwarebytes for Windows on the system yet?  If not, if you enable the option for rootkit scanning in Malwarebytes for Windows it's capable of detecting and removing the same threats as the latest Malwarebytes Anti-Rootkit Beta due to the fact that the beta hasn't been updated in a while and all of the latest features/capabilities it includes have already been integrated into Malwarebytes v4.

You can get the latest version of Malwarebytes 4 here.

If it also has issues updating, please do the following so that we can take a look at what's happening with your system and installation:

  1. Download and run the Malwarebytes Support Tool
  2. Accept the EULA and click Advanced tab on the left (not Start Repair)
  3. Click the Gather Logs button, and once it completes, attach the zip file it creates on your desktop to your next reply

Please let us know how it goes.

That's the latest version and latest databases.  The only newer component update version is a beta, which won't download unless beta updates are enabled so the version numbers you show in the image are perfect :)

Are you having any trouble with your system which makes you suspect it might be infected, or were you just doing scans to double check and make sure the system is in good shape?  I ask because if you suspect the system is infected, we can help with checking it and getting it cleaned up.  To do so, please follow the instructions in this topic then create a new topic in our malware removal area by clicking here and a malware removal specialist will guide you in checking and cleaning your system of any threats.

Ah, that makes sense.  Yeah, those miners are pretty tenacious these days.  If you haven't already, I'd highly advise installing Malwarebytes Browser Guard.  It blocks a lot of the nasties on the web, including ads, trackers, malware, PUPs, and tech support scams and should help in avoiding the likes of crypto mining malware.  It also works great alongside Malwarebytes Premium if you use that, but also works on its own if you don't.
