Hi, I have been experiencing a great deal of trouble while using any browsers (Google chrome, firefox, edge) on my Windows 10 OS. When I start typing in the search bar, a smaller search bar pops up and it does not let me type anywhere else .(This is the control + F search bar) I have tried to close it using the escape key but it does not close every  time. Also, the airplane mode randomly switches on and off.

Hi, I checked my settings and 'search while typing' text box is disabled for Firefox but this problems is occurring in all the browsers I have (Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge and Firefox). As soon as I open a browser this find bar opens up and does not close by even pressing the 'Esc' regularly. Occasionally, when I have kept the 'Esc' key pressed does it let me type. Also, it does not allow me to scroll on web pages sometimes. This problem is most prevalent on Google Chrome but it occurs occasionally on other browsers.

I have tried to close the search bar with the "x" and when this does not work

I seem to have no issues closing with the X. Admitting, I rarely use that function on any regular basis.

I also rarely use Edge. I am 99.9% Firefox.

How to Completely Reset Microsoft Edge Chromium to Default in Windows
https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/159010-how-completely-reset-microsoft-edge-chromium-default-windows.html

Give that a try and let us know. There may be something else going on if it's affecting all browsers but a full reset should stop it

Have you tried a different keyboard yet to verify that it isn't an issue with the hardware itself somehow?  If not, please do so and if it still persists even with a different keyboard, then please do the following so that we can take a closer look at the state of the system and hopefully determine what is causing the issue:

  1. Download and run the Malwarebytes Support Tool
  2. Accept the EULA and click Advanced tab on the left (not Start Repair)
  3. Click the Gather Logs button, and once it completes, attach the zip file it creates on your desktop to your next reply

Check to see if Kaspersky's browser extension/add-on got reinstalled.  It's possible that the sync setting in your browser automatically reinstalled it after it was removed by Kaspersky's uninstaller.  If that's the case, the info in this support article should help, at least for Chrome/Chromium based browsers where Google Sync is in use.

OK, at this point it would be best to go ahead and have the system checked by one of our malware removal specialists as they have access to more advanced diagnostics and repair tools which aren't used outside that area of the forums.

To do so, please follow the instructions in this topic, skipping any steps you are unable to complete, then create a new topic in our malware removal area by clicking here and a malware removal specialist will guide you in checking and repairing your system.  Please also include a link to this thread when you create your topic in the malware removal area so that they may reference the info here to see what has already been tried for diagnosing and fixing the issue.
