I allowed an app several times but it still gets blocked (Outbound connection). 1) I opened up the connection log, and allowed this app. Did not work. 2) I opened: Rules Panel, Create new rules, Browse to allow. Click the Advanced tab on the left column Click the Gather Logs button A progress bar will appear and the program will proceed with getting logs from your computer Upon completion, a file named mbst-grab-results.zip will be saved to your Desktop. Both the Windows Defender Firewall and Malwarebytes Firewall use the same WFP interface and APIs so the rules in both are applied to the system. If there is a conflict in the rules of the two, the block will win out so if one is set to block something, it will be blocked even if allowed in the other. exile360 Posted September 22, 2020 ID:1408870 Share Posted September 22, 2020 I'm not sure about the guide, however the main product page located here indicates the following: Quote Windows Firewall Control doesn't do any packet filtering and does not block or allow any connection. This is done by Windows Firewall itself based on the existing firewall rules. I will make a note on the guide though, in case they need to clarify it further. Thanks for your feedback.
