Could you please get the normal set of logs as well.

Can you please collect and upload as an attachment the diagnostic data using our MBST?

  • Download and run the Malwarebytes Support Tool
  • Accept the EULA and click Advanced tab on the left (not Start Repair)
  • Click the Gather Logs button, and once it completes, attach the zip file it creates on your desktop to your next reply
  • Thanks 1

No, there is no issue with the attached logs.  They're just from the install process, likely from a version upgrade.  I've read a lot of MBST logs and one consistency I've noticed is that the ELAM (Early Launch Anti-Malware) driver is almost never loaded/active, so it doesn't surprise me one bit to see a log entry stating that it wasn't installed.  The second log just shows normal stuff from an install.

I've got a similar pair of files in my own temp folder, and I suspect everyone else who has MB4 installed does as well.

I do see some Avast "leftovers" that could be tidied up but that would nave to be done in the malware removal section.

Also, Have no idea why you made exclusions for Malwarebytes in Malwarebytes.

      Where do I start?

Apologies, that was for Porthos, not you.  I can't recall a time I've ever seen it running, which makes me think that for one reason or another it isn't loading which might explain the log with the single entry about it in your system's temp folder (and mine).  I don't know for certain though, so a Dev might need to jump in.  Either way, I've got the logs too and I know my copy of Malwarebytes is fully functional.
