Blender all versions blocked

I use blender every day / it's my hobby and today all versions of blender are being blocked - i was using it this morning without issues but this afternoon 2.79 - 2.80 - 2,81 - 2.82 and 2.83 are no longer usable because malwarbytes is blocking them.

 

opening the blender application appears fine - opening a saved project causes malware bytes detection-

 

Please fix this

We need more information to fix this. What was this detected as? was it a ip block? Do you have a log showing the detection? If this was a ransomware detection then shutting down malwarebytes will release the hold on the files.

Ahh ok - sorry not very good at this - i think this is what you are referring to.

Ok please add this to you exclusions for now. We are releasing an update that will fix this within a couple of weeks as its a engine related issue.

Can you please collect and upload as an attachment the diagnostic data using our MBST?

• Download and run the Malwarebytes Support Tool
• Accept the EULA and click Advanced tab on the left (not Start Repair)
• Click the Gather Logs button, and once it completes, attach the zip file it creates on your desktop to your next reply
