Hello again Malwarebytes Beta community,

Hoping you are keeping safe, we have just released a new Beta of your product, version 4.2.0.82 component package 1.0.1015

If you are running Malwarebytes 4.1/4.0 with the Beta Updates Setting turned on it means you have signed up for our Beta Updates Program and you will get the Malwarebytes 4.2 Beta as an update. As usual if you don't want to wait for the 'Update Available' notification, go right ahead and retrieve the update manually by clicking "Check for updates" in Settings > General.

What’s New in this 4.2 Beta:

  • You can now filter out Reports with no detections from the Reports list
  • Frequently asked questions have been added to the Help Screen
  • Improved detection and remediation     
  • Improved performance

Some Issues now addressed:

  • Fixed: MB4 doesn't exit play mode if the application is terminated forcibly
  • Fixed: Reboot is required in case malware detected on Hot swap SCSI volume
  • Fixed: Backslash in the end of Custom installation path cause incorrect exception
  • Fixed: Several UI issues

Malwarebytes Beta community,

We are temporarily pausing 4.2.0.82 but still serving component package 1.0.1015 this means, if you haven't updated to 4.2.0.82, when you update your Beta version it will be 4.1.0.73 with component package 1.0.1015

  • There is no new functionality in this Beta update, but we had to revise the version of the Anti-Exploit protection module.
  • This Beta includes the same fix for Outlook crashes when Exploit protection toggle is turned off.
