MBPrivacy BETA

Recommended Posts

The first public beta version ( of the beta app installed easily last week.  I selected Los Angeles as the server location and ran a few Ookla speedtests with very similar results compared to my other paid VPN.  Today's update to was also easy.

I am only mildly disappointed that a server choice in the San Francisco bay area isn't available yet.  Later perhaps?

MBPrivacy also disables DNSCrypt  (if installed/running) when a private connection is made.

Since switching from my former VPN, I have permitted MBPrivacy to run full-time.  I know this is a bare bones beta and I'm sure the other PC edition based features will follow.

Personally I'd like the MBPrivacy icon, in the menu bar, to be the usual Malwarebytes blue and its lower right-hand status dot to be red (versus gray) when the connection is public versus private.  But cosmetics can come later.

Thank you to the team for this release and version!
