LifS Posted July 18, 2020 ID:1395378 Share Posted July 18, 2020 I have started getting popups every time I do a Google search on Chrome saying a site "prefound.org" has been blocked due to a trojan. I can discover nothing about prefound.org and don't know what it is, whether it's safe to exclude itn or what I should do. I'm getting annoyed at the popups every time I search! Help! TheNorthernAlex Posted July 19, 2020 ID:1395400 Share Posted July 19, 2020 I have exactly the same problem, ran adwcleaner and it found nothing. So I am very interested as to what you will find out.

trbrack Posted July 19, 2020 ID:1395469 Share Posted July 19, 2020 Found it for me. It was the "Web For Instagram" extension. https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/web-for-instagram/njgjofbileedkmkphcmhmpngdjdeloeh
trbrack Posted July 19, 2020 ID:1395470 Share Posted July 19, 2020 I reinstalled it and no longer get the pop up. They are most likely injecting affiliate links to websites.
