Something is preventing me from running Malwarebytes premium and Avast

Recommended Posts

Hi there,

Something is preventing me from running Malwarebytes and Avast antivirus. I was able to install and update Malwarebytes premium and run a scan, but after restart I can no longer runit. Also, everytime I mouse over the Avast icon in the notifications bar it disappears, but Avast appears to still be running in task manager.

So, if you look at the following - you have too many programs that can potentially conflict with one another.

AV: Windows Defender (Disabled - Up to date) {D68DDC3A-831F-4fae-9E44-DA132C1ACF46}
AV: Avast Antivirus (Enabled - Up to date) {EB19B86E-3998-C706-90EF-92B41EB091AF}
AV: Malwarebytes (Disabled - Up to date) {23007AD3-69FE-687C-2629-D584AFFAF72B}
AV: ESET Security (Enabled - Up to date) {885D845F-AF19-0124-FECE-FFF49D00F440}
AS: Spybot - Search and Destroy (Enabled - Out of date) {4C1D9672-63FE-5C90-371E-8FDA591C5B75}
AS: Windows Defender (Disabled - Up to date) {D68DDC3A-831F-4fae-9E44-DA132C1ACF46}
AS: Avast Antivirus (Enabled - Up to date) {5078598A-1FA2-C888-AA5F-A9C66537DB12}
FW: ESET Firewall (Enabled) {B066057A-E576-007C-D591-56C163D3B33B}
FW: COMODO Firewall (Enabled) {3D9428CB-50D2-A37E-F90F-1D238F042427}

You should really try to reduce the usage of more than one antivirus if possible. I would highly recommend you either Uninstall Avast, or ESET. Then decide which Firewall you want to use. The built-in Windows firewall actually works fairly well.

You're using a custom managed hosts file which can potentially cause some performance issues or conflict issues if you accidentally block a site needed by one of the applications on your system

Something caused Malwarebytes to crash as well. In many cases it's due to a conflict with some other security software.

Your Google Update is very old. I'd recommend you download and reinstall Google Chrome to update it.
