False positive for screensaversplanet.com

I'd just like to respond to the previous thread on MalwareBytes blocking the screensaversplanet.com website, and ask you to reconsider unblocking the site.

Mostly I disagree with the statement that "there are a lot of Riskware files hosted". As I'm sure you know, false positives are very common, especially when it comes to screensavers. It's exactly for that reason that every file hosted on the site is both manually reviewed (installed, tested) and automatically scanned (using VirusTotal).

The example of "riskware" provided in that thread is a VirusTotal report for a file that most reputable anti-virus engines (including MalwareBytes), believe to be safe, as indeed it is.

I've submitted the file as a false positive to several of the anti-virus companies that did flag it earlier, and Symantec, DrWeb and Max Secure have already confirmed the false positive.

That's how it always goes. In fact, in the history of the site I've never had a positive be confirmed; they've always been false. Unfortunately, with over 1500 screensavers on the site, and each anti-virus company having their own false positive reporting procedure (if they have one at all), it's practically impossible to fix all the false alarms that may come up.

The site is reported safe by McAfee SiteAdvisor, the Trend Micro Site Safety Center, Norton Safe Web, and Google Safe Browsing.
