Today my pc get infected by malware so I use the Malwarebytes program to scan and quarantined all the mentioned issue shown in the program.
The program requested to restart after it completed the quarantine, so I click ok to restart my system.
The restart return nothing, no signal for monitor, nothing.
I force restart the system after 30 min of nothing, then I try to access BIOS/Safe Mode but is unsuccessful as it continue to show nothing.
I suspected that there is some important windows program that had been quarantined.
May I know whether there is a solution for the issue I faced? Thank you.

Hi,  @Remz

My name is Maurice. I will be helping and guiding you, going forward on this case.

Let me know what first name you prefer to go by.

Please follow my directions as we go along.  Please do not do any changes on your own without first checking with me.

Please only just attach   all report files, etc  that I ask for as we go along.

.

It may be that Windows inadvertently started up failing to load your normal profile  & went an created a temporary one.   Maybe.

Or it may be another complication.

.

There is an article with a video that may be helpful.   Take some time to look at the video once or twice.

The article lists several ways to get into Safe mode, including a video at the top of the article.

https://www.digitalcitizen.life/4-ways-boot-safe-mode-windows-10

You will need to Power OFF the computer ( for a minute)  then power it back ON  and then be ready for action.

If neither the video or the top of the article work out, look at his #2     2. Interrupt the normal boot process of Windows 10 three times in a row

Just take your time doing all this.   The main goal we have is to get into Safe Mode or else Safe Mode with Networking.

Have a lot of patience.  I know it is frustrating.  I regret your troubles.

One more thing:  Let me know if you have access to another working computer & if you have a USB-flash-thumb drive of at least 8 GB capacity.

If so, I can guide you to making a very help USB-based- boot tool-utility from Microsoft.

Hi Maurice,

Thank you for the reply. I had tried the second method (2. Interrupt the normal boot process of Windows 10 three times in a row) but is unsuccessful.
The monitor still didn't received any signal from the system, I tried changing the cable, changed the adapter but it still not receiving any signal.
The monitor is able to work normally with other system so it is not spoilt.

I had check my keyboard and I can change the Num Lock and Cap Lock (keyboard light indicator).
Would it be possible that it may cause issue with my display card driver?

I have access to another working computer and I have USB thumb drive that exceed 8 GB capacity.
Thank again for the assistance.

Hi Remz.

Great that you have that USB-thumb-drive   and a working ( other ) computer.   Using that computer, I would highly recommend you get and run the Media Creation tool so that the USB  has that on it.  That is the initial thing I am listing below.  and then a very special bootup.

Just take your time.  Go slow & careful.

Before we get started, though.    unplug all devices from the problem- computer, including:

  • Printers
  • Scanners / Copier / fax machine
  • Media Card Readers
  • Small Media cradles (iPod, PDA, MP3 player, etc.)
  • Digital Cameras and Video Recorders
  • USB storage devices
  • CDs or DVDs from all optical drives

The only devices that you should leave attached to the problematic- computer are your monitor, mouse, and keyboard, if the computer is a desktop.

.

Making USB with the Microsoft Media Creation tool

Look at Option One on this article

https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/2376-create-bootable-usb-flash-drive-install-windows-10-a.html

.

Let me know when that is done.

Let me know if you know how to adjust the Lenovo ThinkCentre M720t   hardware so that it boots up first from USB drive.

Hi Maurice,

I have solved the issue. Thank you.
It seem the problem lies with the external graphic card start blocking the system display port signal after the system restart happened.

Sorry for the trouble and thank again for the assistance.

Hi.   Thank you for the status news.  I am glad to know you have found the root cause,  that it was hardware.

Do make the USB with the Media Creation tool  and keep it safe somewhere.  It can be a life saver in a pinch.

also

do set your Windows to be Enable the use of the F8 function keep during the very initial machine startup.   [ Just as a measure to allow ability to pick Advanced Start option. ]

https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/22455-enable-disable-f8-advanced-boot-options-windows-10-a.html

I do wish you all the best.

Sincerely.
