I have never signed up for a premium account, yet received this email. It even references the last four digits of my credit card. Is it from you? And if so, what's going on?

Hi Toinette.    :welcome:

<  to add a few bits >

The email is a real address.   You did say that it does mention the last 4 digits of your credit card.  So it would seem that you likely do have a Premium subscription.  That email does indicate that a renewal is coming up on August 8.

If you want to Cancel that subscription you can do one or two things.

The first is to login into the Malwarebytes MyAccount portal  and End the subscription.

Use your Email address as one element to login into your Account.   and then if you never set a password,  click on Forgot password  ( so that you then get a new message and go about setting the password).

This is the front page for the MyAccount portal    https://my.malwarebytes.com/en/login

and then, you can just turn Off  the auto-renewal.   See this article

https://support.malwarebytes.com/hc/en-us/articles/360044589954-Turn-off-or-on-auto-renewal-on-your-Malwarebytes-subscription

Turning off the auto-renewal will have the effect of stopping any renewal.

The other way, which may take longer since a human agent gets involved   ( it takes a couple of business days sometimes, more if they are super busy)  is to create a Support Help ticket  ( if you do not have one already).

To create a Ticket see https://support.malwarebytes.com/hc/en-us/requests/new

The folks here on this forum cannot help you directly on issues of licenses and subscriptions.

I hope this reply helps.

Sincerely.
