Malwarebytes Browser Extension Guard blocking content on Gmail and Hangouts

Recently, while going about my normal browsing and communicating with a friend through hangouts. Images sent by my friend and profile pictures were crossed out. I attempted uninstalling and reinstalling as this has never happened before but it still happened regardless. I found that it was blocking and element from google itself. I am able to unblock these elements but that does not seem like a proper solution. Any chance somebody could inform me as to why this suddenly changed?

It is no longer occurring as of now, thank you for your help. 🙂, if it occurs in the future I will be sure to inform you.
