Hypnoticbob Posted June 6, 2020 ID:1386398 Share Posted June 6, 2020 I cannot use my go-to speedtest site (speedtest.net) as I continually receive alerts stating that the site is host to a trojan. Please resolve this issue. Thanks.

I just tried yours and it was blocked but the main speedtest.net site is not. losangeles-speedtest.glb.frontiernet.net Malwarebytes www.malwarebytes.com -Log Details- Protection Event Date: 6/6/20 Protection Event Time: 4:55 PM Log File: 81994e9e-a840-11ea-8a41-001a7dda7102.json -Software Information- Version: 4.1.1.71 Components Version: 1.0.946 Update Package Version: 1.0.25134 License: Premium -System Information- OS: Windows 10 (Build 19041.264) CPU: x64 File System: NTFS User: System -Blocked Website Details- Malicious Website: 1 , C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe, Blocked, -1, -1, 0.0.0 -Website Data- Category: Trojan Domain: losangeles-speedtest.glb.frontiernet.net IP Address: 172.102.72.17 Port: 80 Type: Outbound File: C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe (end) Edited June 6, 2020 by Porthos
Hypnoticbob Posted June 6, 2020 Author ID:1386400 Share Posted June 6, 2020 Of course. Also, a note: I receive the same type of issue when using Windows' ping command to manually ping the 'offending' site. -Log Details- Protection Event Date: 6/6/20 Protection Event Time: 2:47 PM Log File: 5f0ea2a8-a83f-11ea-a9ba-00fff76e7903.json -Software Information- Version: 4.1.0.56 Components Version: 1.0.931 Update Package Version: 1.0.25134 -System Information- OS: Windows 10 (Build 19041.264) CPU: x64 File System: NTFS User: System -Blocked Website Details- Malicious Website: 1 , C:\Program Files (x86)\BraveSoftware\Brave-Browser\Application\brave.exe, Blocked, -1, -1, 0.0.0 -Website Data- Category: Trojan Domain: losangeles-speedtest.glb.frontiernet.net IP Address: 172.102.72.17 Port: 8080 Type: Outbound File: C:\Program Files (x86)\BraveSoftware\Brave-Browser\Application\brave.exe
Porthos Posted June 6, 2020 ID:1386401 Share Posted June 6, 2020 It is the weekend and staff are few and far between so it might take until Monday to get fixed.
Hypnoticbob Posted June 6, 2020 Author ID:1386402 Share Posted June 6, 2020 It's not a major issue, considering it's easy enough to work around. Thanks for taking a look into it. Also, as I've never used the Malwarebytes forums before, I don't have a good grasp of its features; you may have noticed I used the "page" feature (it isn't what I thought it is). I also am unaware of an ability to edit my original post(s). I figure that either the edit feature is either missing or I haven't posted enough times or for a long-enough amount of time. Am I able to edit my posts? If the answer is simple enough, I'd appreciate an answer (if you know and wouldn't mind), else I'll take a look at the FAQ or some such section (if it exists). Thanks, again.
Staff Solution Dashke Posted June 6, 2020 Staff Solution ID:1386403 Share Posted June 6, 2020 (edited) Thanks for reporting it, the block was added because of this file - frontiernet.net/~osborne3/speedtest.htm Since the malicious mwola[.]com domain is dead now, the block will be removed. Also, there should be an Edit button beneath your post. Edited June 6, 2020 by Dashke
