Cannot permanently clean Google Chrome folder (extensions)

Recommended Posts

Hello.

{First of all, I must say I have already posted this on ToolLibs forum area. Forgive me for double posting}

On a newly formatted Windows 10 I have copied the AppData\Local\Google folder to keep older Chrome's settings. After analysing it with AdwCleaner (8.0.5) it reports five unwanted Chrome extensions. I choose to clean them (quarantine) but after rebooting and rerunning AdwCleaner they are coming back.

This is the clean logfile. It says FAILED. But why?. Chrome isn't even installed (I am going to use Firefox).

The current versions of Chrome will not let you copy back those settings. Only things that can be restored is the bookmarks unless you had already enabled and were using sync. And as you can see in many posts sync has become a support pain around here.
