Another case of Malware found in windows 10 Ableon Live Standard 10

Recommended Posts

This is the second time in the last 40 days that there has been some sort of exploit found in my music software.  I had assistance last month for the same program but different .exe file which is the problem. My first post is found here concerning and exploit in the ableton installer .exe :

Now the new problem is found in another .exe in ableton.  I am not sure exactly what is up with this application, but malwarebytes seems to be fighting tooth and nail to keep it healthy.  Here is a txt file of what malware bytes found.

Download the Farbar Recovery Scan Tool (FRST).
Choose the 32 or 64 bit version for your system.
and save it to a folder on your computer's Desktop.
Double-click to run it. When the tool opens click Yes to disclaimer.
Press Scan button.
It will make a log (FRST.txt) in the same directory the tool is run. Please copy and paste it to your reply.
The first time the tool is run, it makes also another log (Addition.txt). Please attach it to your reply.

How to attach a file:

Here you go.  As to answer your last question yes my default browser (Chrome) is synced to my phone and chromebook.

Any idea what is happening here.  Is someone using scripts to abuse exploits into my recording software?

Hi,

Your logs are clean.

It could be a Syncing issue.

If the problem persists and Chrome is Synced with other Devices reset it.

https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/185277

Execute the suggested fix.

Restart the computer normally.
===========

Is the problem solved?

Thank you for your help.  I guess it's nothing then.  Why did Malwarebytes pick up another file our of Ableton though?  Is there something else I can do just to be safe?

Check the Malwarebytes log or the Quarantine folder.

You will probably see that it was removed.
