Can a video splitter be considered as a rouge windows booster?

Recommended Posts

Soft4boost offers many tools. Some of them are poor coding. Some of them seem to be fine. Some do claim to improve PC performance, and should not be used.

But the recent version of Malwarebyte seems to identify all of their tools as "rogue pcwinboosters". Even their video editor, video splitter, or video converter.

Doesn't seem correct to me, but I don't want to take non-reasonable risks.

Hi uzi,

Could you please share a scan log showing the detections in question?

All best,

Thank you for sharing that, uzi.

I've made some changes on our back end to more specifically reflect our detection of WinBooster. Should be available in the next database update (at most in a couple hours).

All very best,

Thanks for the fast response. Seems to be fixed now. It only warns about a link to their website, as a pup, which is a reasonably legitimate warning, in my view.
