Malware-Definitions Updates

when i do a scan with adwcleaner i notice that the malware-definitions are dated 4/08/2020. it seems like the malware-definitions are never updated.

here is what the scan-log shows:

Greetings,

If you refer to the release information linked in this support article, each release includes a note regarding updating the definitions.  I believe this means that definitions for ADWCleaner are only updated when a new version is released and they likely build and release a new version any time the definitions require an update to stay on top of the latest adware/PUPs.

I am not positive, but I believe this is how it works based on analysis of the published release documentation.
