Running OS X Yosemite, updates downloaded don't work, can't install MB

Recommended Posts

I'm using an iMac 2011, and I'm attempting to get Malwarebytes on it. However, when I attempt to do so, it requires me to get a newer verison of Mac OS. I'm currently using Yosemite 10.10.5, and attempting to upgrade to any newer version, being Sierra, or high sierra, it says the update is corrupted. Therefore, I don't have the ability to install the latest version of Malwarebytes. Is there some way around this to fix this issue? Thanks!

To update to the latest version of macOS compatible with your Mac, without having the installer, follow How to reinstall macOS from macOS Recovery

A good active internet connection is required

You can then install Malwarebytes

To check compatibility with the version of macOS that you will be able to install

Usage requirements for Malwarebytes for Mac v4

Usage requirements for Malwarebytes for Mac v3

I hope I was helpful

Have a nice day
