GamefirstIV1.5.23 disk1.cab detected as Malware

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Thanks in advance for looking at my problem. Malwarebyte (free version) detected the file below as a malware on my computer (it works on windows 10). Its in quarantine so i can't send the file for analysis. (I added the black bar on the picture to hide my username)

Kaspesky antivirus didn't detected it.

My questions are :

- Have somebody see the same problem with that kind of file (or the same)

- What's the effect of this malware (if possible/known) ?

- Before it was detected, Asus was opening  a windows for update at each start of the computer, but no update were available. Can it be linked to this problem or is it separate problem.

It was something like that (image from google search).

I searched on Google but couldn't found informations for this specific problem. (Hope it's not shadowhammer or something like that).

I've checked my mails and accounts, and its works. But i'm worried because i didn't  detected it immediatly. I don't know from how many time its on my computer. Hope somebody can help and identifiy this.

In advance, thanks you for your attention to my problem.

Hi,

This is most probably a false positive (as it was detected by our machinelearning engine, so FPs are possible there), but we can only be sure if we have the file.

So can you unquarantine the file and zip and attach it to this post please?
