VPN DNS questions

Does the default Malwarebytes DNS use any filtering/blocklists? Is the default DNS DoH or DoT or similar? If not then most Wireguard applications allow the end user to use a DNS of their choice while still running Wireguard (With the trade off being DNS leakage). Does Malwarebytes VPN also offer this?

Our DNS servers do not apply any filtering. These DNS servers also don't log any requests and are specific to the VPN server/region the user connects, thereby ensuring privacy and preventing any DNS leaks outside. We have an item on our short term roadmap to allow users to set an alternate DNS.

Applying the filtering from Browserguard to the VPN DNS servers, if possible, might be something that's appreciated.

Perhaps as an option, however I would prefer they apply no filtering by default and allow the user to decide whether to enable any such filtering/block lists etc.  At the very least it should be optional for those who do not want any sort of filtering on their internet connections that they cannot control.

Hi exile360,

While my preference would be for something akin to pi-hole or Adguard Home or NextDNS but all from the VPN provider, I would have to agree with you that such filtering should be optional.
