Doesn't look like Mozilla is / was ready for prime time release. Certainly something odd about how it was offered to you.

When I go to download a new copy to install it is still 75.0 as well

I'm going to split our chat off to a different topic though

Guess we will see tomorrow or the next day. Mozilla might be contacting Major geeks a day early. Many time i have noticed they list it a day or two early.

I believe you it's coming, but just doesn't seem it's quite ready for the masses yet.

First spot where Firefox releases usually appear: https://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases/

I think that's where Majorgeeks and others are finding releases with a fewer hours sooner than official announcement.

This is nothing new. I recall things being like this for many years.

MajorGeeks (and sometimes Neowin) always "jumps the gun" on Firefox by a day.

FF 76 will be "officially" released later today (Tuesday, 5 May).

From the notes: I'm on the fence about this feature. I find it often annoying as it now takes more effort to close a video window than before. But on the other hand it helps prevent those time where you accidentally close a video window and can't seem to get it back.

Picture-in-Picture allows you to multitask, the small video window following along no matter what you are doing on your computer, across different applications and even workspaces. Now, when you are ready to focus on the video, a double click can take the small window into full screen. Double click again to reduce the size again.
