BSOD WIN10 Pro x 64 - mwac.sys

Recommended Posts

I have been getting the BSOD on a Dell XPS 8920 running Microsoft Windows Pro x64 with all of the latest patches installed. I have version 4.1.0 of Malware Premium installed. This has happened at least four times in the last week. The computer generate the BSOD and the collects the information but never re-starts automatically.

Microsoft Error Message: DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS _OR_EQUAL

Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this issue.

Hello @PLCMAN

We've just released a new beta update that has fixes for various Web Protection-related issues and may have a fix for the BSOD you are seeing with mwac.sys

https://forums.malwarebytes.com/topic/257042-malwarebytes-41-beta/?do=findComment&comment=1371934

1.0.875 is the component package version for this release. We'd love to know how you get on with Web Protection in this latest release.

If you are running Malwarebytes 4.0 with the Beta Updates Setting turned on it means you have signed up for our Beta Updates Program and you will get the Malwarebytes 4.1 Beta refresh as an update. As usual if you don't want to wait for the 'Update Available' notification, go right ahead and retrieve the update manually by clicking Install Application Updates in Settings > General.

Let us know how it goes.

Thank you.
