Is SecureAPlus Safe?

Recommended Posts

Hi

I have Malwarebytes Antimalware (MA) premium on one computer and on another I have SecureAPlus plus and MA free. On the latter machine MA is currently giving me a free trial of premium and is constantly flashing warnings that it's blocking SecureAPlus because of an alleged Trojan. Moreover, it blocks my attempts to login to my SecureAPlus account so I can report the issue to them.

I'm aware that I can whitelist SecureAPlus, but how can I tell if it's really safe?

thanks

Ewan

Hi, can you provide logs and the file being detected? Thanks.

Hi Cli

I'm afraid I can't find how to do this in the Malwarebytes for Windows guide v4.

The file reported is #ProgramFiles#SecureAPlusService.exe IP 129.126.220.4 Port 443

The Windows Update Virus has ruined my keyboard, the hashes are supposed to be forward slashes.

cheers

Ewan

We have removed the website block on secureage.com and it will be fixed in the next update.

If that doesn't resolve your issue, can you try the instructions here, under "View and download detection History in Malwarebytes on Windows" and attach the log here?

Thanks.

You can locate the logs using the following information @Ewan_Hoozami

Then there should be both Scan and Protection logs with date and time. Find the one with the detection and post it back here or attach it.

View has an Export to text for the clipboard if you want to use that
