Many outbound block msgs

Recommended Posts

Hey,
I have MWB installed on my son's PC and we see many blocking notifications. Outgoing. I'd like to do something with whatever he has going on, but when I scan thoroughly nothing shows up, scanning chrome shows nothing, he has only one extension from discord, but i see from the notifications that the various things blocked are coming from Chrome. They are exes and I see netaddresses, like lucienmann.pro or  adobviewe.club. How do I track these things and remove them?

He has other popups that come when he plays Roblox.
I have my work cut out! Thankful for Malwarebytes blocking this stuff or I wouldn't even know about it!

I'm learning a lot about Chrome today! I found the stored data and removed that for the sites that were flagged by malwarebytes, but not all were there..

Thanks! I don't get access to the son's PC very often... 🙄
What I did seemed to have stopped the messages. I've given him the 'talk' again about watching what he clicks yes or accept to..

However I was running a scan today on his machine, including a rootkit scan. It seemed to go through the earlier parts of the scan at a normal speeed, also the rootkit part, but the file checking had been running for more than 2 hours, so I cancelled it, ran disk cleanup and deleted some general rubbish.. the started the scan again. It ran for over 5 hours...and still was showing the same progress on the bar..
I was just considering cancelling when the cat walked over the keyboard. And with that it seemed to finish. 🙈 So I have no idea what the cat did but I'd really like to know why the scan seemed to carry on so long both times. Not sure I can ask you to comment on that though, considering the cat's involvement... 😹

Hello @charist

Doesn't sound good. I've moved your topic to the malware removal forum so that I can assist you one-on-one. Please run the following so that I can get some logs to see what might be going on.

Please download Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and save it to your desktop.

Note: You need to run the version compatible with your system.
You can check here if you're not sure if your computer is 32-bit or 64-bit

  • Double-click to run it. When the tool opens click Yes to disclaimer.
  • Press the Scan button.
  • It will make a log (FRST.txt) in the same directory the tool is run. Please attach it to your reply.
  • The first time the tool is run, it also makes another log (Addition.txt). Please attach it to your reply as well.

Thank you
