Malwarebytes for Mac 4.2 beta

Recommended Posts

Malwarebytes for Mac 4.2 has been released. Not much has changed, but it adds a new automatic update feature. There won't really be much to see until the next update, which should install automatically in the background. Still, if you use the beta, please let us know if you see any problems.

To download the beta, simply open the existing Malwarebytes app on your computer. (You can download and install it if you don't already have it.) In the app, click Settings, then turn on the Beta Application Updates setting. Then, in the Malwarebytes menu, choose Check for Updates, and install the update.

We have released a 4.2.12 beta update. By this point, you should probably have had it installed automatically, unless you disabled automatic updates. Please take a look at the version number (choose About Malwarebytes from the Malwarebytes menu, just above the Check For Updates item shown in the screenshot in the previous post) and make sure you've got the update. If you don't, please don't choose Check For Updates to force it just yet... keep an eye on it and let us know if you haven't gotten the update by Monday.

Good to hear, thanks!

The app is out of beta now, and 4.2.12 is the version of the official release.
