Greetings,

No, I don't believe it did unfortunately as I saw no mention of it in the release notes (located here) so we still must wait sadly.  It is also likely that the issue will not be fixed until it is corrected in a Kaspersky patch/update as the issue did not reveal itself until a particular patch for Kaspersky 2020, though I am sure that if Malwarebytes' Developers can fix it they will.

Please watch the pinned topics in this part of the forums for release announcements and also look out for members of Malwarebytes' staff responding to threads dealing with the Kaspersky issue for an indication that it has been resolved and the steps to take to correct it.

If there is anything else we might assist you with please let us know.

Thanks

Hello @GoldSmoke,

We released an update to the standalone Malwarebytes Anti-Ransomware that addresses this issue.
https://forums.malwarebytes.com/topic/211708-latest-version-mbarw-beta-v-0918807-build-278-released-feb-5-2020/

We hope to bring this into the latest Malwarebytes version 4 product in an upcoming update.

Thank you for your patience with this issue.

Just to confirm what Maurice is saying......

Once we update to 4.1056 and 1.0.854 we are then compatible with KIS 2020???

I have nine systems to do (I'm still on KIS 2019)...I just want to make sure we are being

given the green light to go to KIS 2020 (Seemed like we just went to the beta test)...

I've already installed 4.1056 and 1.0.854 but want to verify first before doing all the Kaspersky upgrades tomorrow...

That's correct. If Malwarebytes components package 1.0.854 is installed, you should not experience the conflict with Ransomware Protection after installing Kaspersky Internet Security 2020.

Great news !

Happy to know the issue with Kaspersky had be fix ,

i will try it on my laptop later , thanks for MB's team work hard on this issue ~ :)

Malwarebytes Components Update: 4.1.0.56 version 1.0.854 addresses Certain Ransomware protection incompatibilities with Kaspersky

This release includes, along with other things, the fix for Kaspersky, iTunes and Photoshop

If your PC is already on Version 4  ( regular or beta) you will be updated to it automatically as long as automatic updates are enabled. If you have temporarily disabled them then please enable them to allow this update.

The original Kaspersky conflict issue was due to a change made by Kaspersky on their Antivirus 20.0.14.1085(patch E) programs. As their change was causing issues for our users we took it upon ourselves to work on developing a workaround for this conflict.

Kaspersky Anti-Virus 20 version 20.0.14.1085 was released on July 24, 2019
Patch E for Kaspersky Anti-Virus version 20.0.14.1085 was released on October 23, 2019 which is when the issue was first reported to us.
Patch I for Kaspersky Anti-Virus version 20.0.14.1085 was released on February 18, 2020 and is the latest at the time of this posting on 2020-03-19

Please note that although our update works around this issue, at any time in the future another update from Kaspersky could once again potentially create another conflict. This applies to most other security software as well since we do not have control over what other security program changes other vendors make. On Windows 10 the built-in Microsoft Windows Defender has consistently worked pretty well alongside Malwarebytes when enabled for quite a while now for those that have chosen to use it.

Just got done installing KIS 2020 (i) on my 9 Windows 10 systems...

Everything so far "appears" to be OK with the 4.1.0.56 and 1.0.854 MB updates in place...

***I really wish Malwarebytes would "try" to work a little closer with Kaspersky...This incompatibility thing has been cropping up

every version...And everytime we're told that all you need is MB and now MB and Windows Defender...

It should be apparent after the last 5 years or so that many users want to run BOTH Kaspersky and Malwarebytes together...

You are not really competitors as you both have your area of specialty so it would be advantageous to both Kaspersky

and Malwarebytes to work together and inform each other of changes so problems can be avoided like this...This has been

happening since at least MB 2.x (Maybe even 1.x)...It doesn't matter who's fault it is...In the end the customers suffer...

Anyway thanks for the fix...

Thank you for your feedback but it is a completely different company, different financial books, even in a completely different Country. It is just not feasible or realistic to believe or expect businesses are going to work together on that level.

We did not say you needed Windows Defender, We said for those that have chosen to use it that it has worked well for them. We believe that using Malwarebytes alone by itself will protect your system.
