untsorce.cool is on Google chrome. Ran Malwarebytes, which showed and cleared other tracking cookies. Did not show untsorce.

Also ran AdwCleaner 8.0.2 and showed there were no infections. Reset Google Chrome, cleared history and cookies. Ran both programs again with same result.

MB is blocking the adware but it's not removed.

@LAF     Just so you are aware, the block notice event does not mean there is a actual onboard "infection".

But rather, this is just a courtesy notice that the program is keeping your browser safe.

The domain of that block address is a indicator of this all being some ad.

Maybe this happened when you happened to be reading email online thru the browser.

The Block notices from Malwarebytes web protection do mean that Malwarebytes is keeping your pc safe from potential harm.

A block notice is an advisory of the "block".

For Your Information:

The website  Block message indicates that a potential risk was blocked by the malicious website protection.

The Malwarebytes web protection, by default, will always show each IP block occurrence.

The Malwarebytes Webs protection feature will advise customers when a known or suspected malicious IP is attempted to be reached (outgoing) or is trying access your PC.

See our info page https://www.malwarebytes.com/lp/ip-blocking/?ipblock=true

Incoming block notice can be ignored, our software is blocking the threat and there is nothing more that can be done.

On Outbound blocks, any attempted connection was stopped.

No action is required unless you’re also experiencing malware symptoms or there are multiple (different) IPs (ex;123.23.34 and 4.44.56).

A browser is not required to be running, just an active Internet connection with processes running,

such as Instant messenger clients, SKYPE or Peer-to-peer software, to trigger these alerts.

These are also triggered by banner ads running on websites which is the most common form of alert.

Thanks, Maurice. Yes I'm aware the notice is a (much appreciated) courtesy. I was simply trying to provide as much

info as possible.

Maurice and @Porthos thank you for the extremely fast replies to my request.

I did manage to find and delete the nasty and it is no longer appearing in my chrome browser! :)
Here's what I did: I went in to Chrome settings, => Privacy & Security => Site Settings => All Sites =>View permissions and data stored across sites

Ctrl + F and entered untsorce.cool, which pulled up 4 instances, AT THE BOTTOM of the page! Then blocked all items for the site. (From there, trying to recall, but I believe I then deleted untsorce.cool.

Ran MB then Hitman (nothing for each) then CCleaner. That was it!

Thank you again to both of you for your magnificent help!

Not sure if you saw my reply to the other post so I'll quote below. BTW, the first link you provided shows an older interface, which was confusing. But worked my way thru as best I could and did resolve the issue. Thank You!

Hi, LAF.

Thanks for the update.   I am happy to read that.

Allow me to suggest a couple more things, that will not take a lot of time, & will keep Chrome safer.

[   1   ]

See this article on our Malwarebytes Blog
https://blog.malwarebytes.com/security-world/technology/2019/01/browser-push-notifications-feature-asking-abused/

You want to disable the ability of each web browser on this machine from being able to allow "push ads". That means Chrome, Firefox, or Edge browser (on Windows 10), or on Opera.

Scroll down to the tips section "How do I disable them".

[    2    ]

I suggest you install the Malwarebytes Browser guard for Chrome.

Open this link in your Chrome   browser:

https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/malwarebytes/ihcjicgdanjaechkgeegckofjjedodee

Then proceed with the setup.

Cheers.
