deewinc Posted February 24, 2020 ID:1364106 Share Posted February 24, 2020 Hello, My MalwareBytes is blocking network discovery and file sharing. I need to connect two PCs via Ethernet cable. When Malwarebytes is ON, it turns OFF private network discovery settings. However, when I turn it off, the private network discovery settings remain turned on at all times. How do I make MalwareBytes not to interfere with the network discovery and file sharing settings?

exile360 Posted February 24, 2020 ID:1364114 Share Posted February 24, 2020 Greetings, I'm sorry that you are experiencing issues but we'll do our best to help. This is the first I've seen anyone report an issue like this and generally speaking Malwarebytes should not interfere with any network connectivity like that so this definitely seems like a bug. First off, some details about the system would likely prove helpful. What version of Windows exactly are you running? If you could also do the following it would be most helpful: Download and run the Malwarebytes Support Tool Accept the EULA and click Advanced tab on the left (not Start Repair) Click the Gather Logs button, and once it completes, attach the zip file it creates on your desktop to your next reply Thanks

If your internet connect fails at any time, it can disrupt the installation of Malwarebytes. If you continue to have issues installing using the online installer, try the offline installer located here: Malwarebytes Offline Installer https://downloads.malwarebytes.com/file/mb4_offline
