SEVERAL PC ISSUES ONLY SINCE Upadated Malwarebytes

Recommended Posts

I've exhausted trying to work out why my PC has been having so many issues....and ONLY just found out by accident that these happened to coincide with the auto-renewal of Malwarebytes!!!

I only found that Malwarebytes may be the culprit after my Task Manager stated that Malwarebytes has been using 50% of my CPU....like, what is happening here please (as I see many other customers are having the same issues as I am, but I'm having ALL of their issues at the same time - am totally over it!! Especially as tonight I paid an IT dude to sort all of these issues as I'm exhausted from trying to fix them myself, as WELL AS purchased several other programs thinking it was a Virus or something - but each virus protection app came back stating my PC was healthy - it's never operated so badly and I'm $00's poorer and days behind in my work for this - and no one thought to tell us???? WT???

Google Chrome screen is in the task bar and opened but the Chrome window screen is invisible, so I “cascade screens” to bring them all back on the same monitor and it still doesnt appear. I’ve also uninstalled and reinstalled Chrome twice with no luck.

I’ve been using Mozilla and it’s been super slow...

I purchased and installed CCCleaner and Defragg and ran each of them and they all came back with a clean slate (as did several Malwarebytes reports!) and my PC still has issues

My PC occasionally just stops & reboots itself again... when I’m in the middle of something so it loses that info ... so very very very frustrating.

That’s all I can remember at the moment.....but I'm beside myself!

Sorry you are having issues.

Please try uninstalling and reinstalling Malwarebytes for Windows using the Malwarebytes Support tool.

Uninstall and reinstall using the Malwarebytes Support Tool
https://support.malwarebytes.com/docs/DOC-2674

Please have lots of patience with the tool.  The first phase is a cleanup and does require a Windows Restart.
After the Restart, it may take 2 - 3 - 4 minutes till the Support tool screen shows up.   Please be patient and have faith.  Wait for it, whatever it takes.
The 2nd phase is where it offers to do a new Install.

Let me know if that clears up the issue or not.

Yes, once Malwarebytes was removed all issues disappeared....especially Chrome runs well now....

But reinstalled Malwarebytes and found the same issues reoccurred.....so uninstalled it (again) using the support tool (again) then issues disappeared (again)....but now I'm apprehensive about reinstalling Malwarebytes at all - but it leaves my PC exposed to malware!!

Only renewed my annual subscirption on the 10th Feb 2020 - so am very angry and annoyed (as I also spent $100 on getting IT help to find out what it was.....never occured to me it would have been a malwarebytes update issue.....as have never ever had cause to suspect it)

Please advise how I can get a refund so i can purchase malware protection elsewhere.
