Authorised reseller of Malwarebytes keys online?

Recommended Posts

Hi, I was wondering how I would become an authorised reseller to be able to sell Malwarebytes license keys on websites such as eBay and Amazon?

I have already been in contact with eBay and they told me that I needed to become an authorised reseller to start selling Malwarebytes keys.

Hi, I've gone to the website and I've tried registering to it but it keeps asking me for a company website which I do not have because I'm online planning to resell on online marketplaces like eBay and Amazon which do not require me to have a website nor do I have any use or need for it.

Just because ebay says something does not make it fact. Malwarebytes makes the determination  where a reseller can sell the product. Part of my reseller agreement (been one since 2009) stated we could not sell on ebay.

Malwarebytes does not just anyone become a reseller. You do have to have a legitimate setup business.

I'm sure they verify where/how keys are sold so it shouldn't be an issue.  If they don't allow selling on ebay etc. I'm sure they will explain that.  With that said, I've never heard anyone from the company explicitly say that they don't allow any resellers to sell on sites like ebay and Amazon so it could just be a matter of ensuring that such sellers are using legit reseller keys.

5.4. Internet Auction Sales Restriction. Resellerhereby acknowledges and agrees that, due to the complexity of Malwarebytes's Products, online auction sales do not provide adequate presales support. Therefore, Resellerhereby agrees and warrants that it shall not sell or otherwise make available Products via any online auction websites on the world wide web (for example but not limited to e-Bay), service, or similar bidding medium throughout the duration of this Agreement. For the avoidance of doubt, where a corporate end user utilizes the Internet for an online based tender bidding-system this provision shall not apply. In addition, Reselleracknowledges and agrees that because inadequate presales support reflects poorly upon and tarnishes the Malwarebytes name a breach of this Section 5.4 is a material breach of this Agreement.

Thanks for pointing that out Porthos, I was not aware of that stipulation in the terms but it makes sense, especially given how many scammers we've had to deal with on sites like ebay.

I still do not know why some sellers can sell on ebay. Do not know where they get the keys or keycards.
