Real time protection turned off notification

Today when I turned on my computer I received a notification that one of my real time protection services was turned off.  When I opened MB premium program it showed that all services were turned on.  I tried shutting down my computer and turning it back on, but it didn't send me any notifications. 

I was just wondering if this was a random bug, or something I should look into further?

  2. Once the file is downloaded, open your Downloads folder/location of the downloaded file

  4. Place a checkmark next to Accept License Agreement and click Next
  5. You will be presented with a page stating, "Get Started!"
  6. Click the Advanced tab on the left column

  7. Click the Gather Logs button

  8. A progress bar will appear and the program will proceed with getting logs from your computer

  9. Upon completion, a file named mbst-grab-results.zip will be found on your Desktop. Click OK

  10. Please attach the file in your next reply. Before submitting your reply, be sure to enable "Notify me of replies" like so:

It may have just been slow for some reason loading up one of the protection modules.

If you can upload the following logs we''ll take a look and see if something obviously wrong

i downloaded the support tool and gathered logs.  Do i need to attach them to this forum post (how do I do that), or is the automatic upload at the end of the log gathering procedure enough?

No, the system makes it look that way. But, again, even if someone did there really isn't anything in there personal. It shows what software is installed and what processes are running, and what errors are being logged. etc.

Okay, thanks

The logs indicate that you're system is having some issues with some services loading or shutting down. Including our program. I'm going to write up a small script to do some clean up and see if that helps. Give me a few minutes

Okay, nothing wrong with it as long as you're aware of it.

This fix will also empty the following directories. If for any reason you do not want to clear one of these please let me know before running the fix script. In general all of it is temporary useless junk but want you to be aware the script will remove all of it.

- Contents of Windows Temporary folder.
- Contents of Users Temp folders
- IE, FF and Chrome cache, Cookies and History.
- Java cache
- Recently opened files cache.
- Flash Player cache.
- Explorer thumbnail cache and network qmgr?.dat files.
- Recycle Bin.
- Edge Browser cache

Please download Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and save it to your desktop.

Note: You need to run the version compatible with your system.
You can check here if you're not sure if your computer is 32-bit or 64-bit


Please download the attached fixlist.txt file and save it to the Desktop.
NOTE. It's important that both files, FRST or FRST64 and fixlist.txt are in the same location or the fix will not work.

NOTICE: This script was written specifically for this user, for use on this particular machine. Running this on another machine may cause damage to your operating system.

Run FRST or FRST64 and press the Fix button just once and wait.
If the tool needs a restart please make sure you let the system restart normally and let the tool complete its run after restart.
The tool will make a log on the Desktop (Fixlog.txt). Please attach or post it to your next reply.

Note: If the tool warned you about an outdated version please download and run the updated version.
