Greetings,

Please do the following to see if it corrects the issue:

  1. Download and run the Malwarebytes Support Tool
  2. Accept the EULA and click Start Repair
  3. Follow the onscreen instructions and restart your system if prompted to do so

Once that is done check to verify that Malwarebytes is now working properly.

If you still encounter the issue then please provide the following logs so that we may take a closer look at what is going on with your Malwarebytes installation:

  1. Run the Malwarebytes Support Tool
  2. Accept the EULA and click Advanced tab on the left (not Start Repair)
  3. Click the Gather Logs button, and once it completes, attach the zip file it creates on your desktop to your next reply

Please let us know how it goes and if necessary please provide the requested ZIP file for analysis.

Thanks

I run the Malwarebytes Support Tool (it reinstalled the app) and now my problem no longer occurs.

Hope this issue no longer appears.

The problem reappeared.

You are using Kaspersky Free. There are known issues running with Kaspersky. I would uninstall it and use Defender instead.

You could also try disabling ransomware protection in Malwarebytes and see if the issue continues.

I would still run with ransomware protection DISABLED for a few days and monitor results.
