SCFA_Updater -- False Positive

Recommended Posts

Recently MalwareBytes updated, and now it's detecting the attached program 'SCFA_Updater.exe' as malware.  I know this is not malware, as I wrote the program in AutoIt.  I've attached the report file from MalwareBytes, the executable, and the source code.  I user this program to distribute updates for a game (Supreme Commander) that I'm involved with.  Please fix the false positive detection.

Thanks!

Can I do an update in MalwareBytes, and the detection won't happen now?  Or do I need to wait a certain amount of time, my updates are set for 1 hour.

The file still gets quarantined this morning with a scan, even after I did a check for updates.  Should the 'fix' be active by now?

Thanks!

The file is still being detected and quarantined again this morning.  Please let me know next steps.  If I don't hear anything back, I'll open a new case, as perhaps it's getting flagged on a second detection?

Thanks!
