No right-click option for " scan with Malwarebytes"

Recommended Posts

I never used this option in latest Malwarebytes , untill this week !

Enabled the option in the configuration-tab ; set Malwarebytes in the right-click context menu (  "scan with Malwarebytes" )

Rebooted , the option does not appear in my ( Win10) contextmenu .............whats wrong ..........how(?) to enable it still !!

Would be awsome if I could enable this only for the drives , not for files/folders .................

Appreciate some help !

Try toggling off and back on again.

If that does not work,

Uninstall and reinstall using the Malwarebytes Support Tool
https://support.malwarebytes.com/docs/DOC-2674

Please have lots of patience with the tool.  The first phase is a cleanup and does require a Windows Restart.
After the Restart, it may take 2 - 3 - 4 minutes till the Support tool screen shows up.   Please be patient and have faith.  Wait for it, whatever it takes.
The 2nd phase is where it offers to do a new Install.

Let me know if that clears up the issue or not.

Did you Shutdown/reboot or did you Restart?

It's counter intuitive with Win10. Shutting down actually hibernates settings, (even with Quick Start turned off), you have to Restart to give a new start.

" you have to Restart to give a new start. "..............thats what I did , with no result !

Uninstalling/installing too much work , dont even know if all goes well , must be another working solution also .............

Seems Im missing a reg-key for this contextmenu-item !

It is the easyist solution. The support tool does all the work for you.

Since you are concerned about too much work it is best way. Other than that you would have to get system logs and upload them which is even more work.
