MB Support Tool 1.5.4.760 Problems

Recommended Posts

This is on Windows 10x64 Pro Build 18363.628 V1909 with the latest Malwarebytes and also FileASSASSIN installed.  My default browser is MS Edge Chromium and KIS 2020.0.14.1085(g) is running.  I have all the MBAM and MB Support Tool exclusion added to KIS 2020.

Problem 1:  Ransomware protection has to be deactivated to permit the Support Tool to accept the license.

Problem 2:  FileASSASSIN has to be uninstalled for collecting and zipping the Logs

Greetings,

I know that the FileASSASSIN problem is a known issue, so I'm sure a fix will come eventually in a future update for the Support Tool.  Obviously the Kaspersky issues are also known and if you haven't tried already, I'd suggest checking to see if the Support Tool functions properly with Kaspersky disabled as it may be the result of the known issues with KIS 2020 and Ransomware Protection in Malwarebytes, just judging by the setup and symptoms you describe.  Does disabling or removing KIS help at all with the issue with the Support Tool (aside from the FileASSASSIN issue of course)?
