BSOD caused by mwac.sys on my system

Greetings,

Yes, a new beta has been released which appears to have resolved the issue for all affected users who have tested it so far.  If you wish to try the beta to verify that it fixes the problem on your own system then open Malwarebytes and navigate to settings by clicking the small gear icon in the upper right, then scroll down to the bottom of the General tab and enable the option for beta updates, then scroll back to the top of the same tab and click the Check for updates button and allow the new update to download and install.

Once it completes, restart your system and verify that it is now working properly without causing any issues or crashes.

If you do not wish to run the beta then you may wait until testing is completed and the final build is released.

If you do decide to test it, please let us know how it goes and whether or not it resolved the issues.

following instructions to check for updates I received the update.  after this I am still seeing the crashes.  fast and frequent.  happy to send diagnostic files if that would help

    Download Malwarebytes Support Tool
    
    
    Once the file is downloaded, open your Downloads folder/location of the downloaded file
    Double-click mb-support xxx.xx.exe to run the report
        You may be prompted by User Account Control (UAC) to allow changes to be made to your computer. Click Yes to consent.
        
    Place a checkmark next to Accept License Agreement and click Next
    You will be presented with a page stating, "Get Started!"

    Do NOT use the button “Start repair” !
    Click the Advanced tab on the left column
    
    Click the Gather Logs button
    
    A progress bar will appear and the program will proceed with getting logs from your computer
   
    Upon completion, click a file named mbst-grab-results.zip will be saved to your Desktop. Click OK
    Please attach the ZIP file in your next reply.

To use WeTransfer you simply need to click 'I Agree', then click the round ... button and select the option to send a link, then scroll up to click the + button and add the file you wish to upload.  The images below show where to click for each step:

Hi @smadamot,

Thanks for the logs. They indicate your Malwarebytes installation is in a broken state.

Could you clean reinstall Malwarebytes using the Malwarebytes Support Tool: https://support.malwarebytes.com/docs/DOC-2674

Afterwards, please re-enable the beta setting and install the latest beta version. Please confirm that 1.0.804 is displayed as the "Component package version" in Settings -> About. Once installed, please let us know if you still encounter any issues.
