The only thing I noticed in you logs is that it appears you did not completely download turbo tax fully possibly before attempting to install. At least that is what it looks like to me.

When I put the Turbo Tax disc in the drive (E) and tried to install the program, got the msg "Error 1719: Windows Installer service could not be accessed when installing or updating".  Googling this msg, it said I need to re-register the windows installer by typing msiexec/unregister, selecting OK and then entering run/msiexec/regserver.  Since I couldn't find msiexec.exe in the list of processes and was concerned about doing what was suggested, I thought maybe should just download turbo tax online.  It does look like it was only partially downloaded. When I went back to try again, TT said I had already done the download and they wouldn't allow it to be done again so I think that is why you see the partial.  I think the msiexec.exe is a Microsoft process and is an important Windows installer program and don't know why I don't have it.  I can restore back to 1/4.  May take a chance that will help.

Please open an Admin command prompt and run the following. Pressing the Enter key after each line. Each process may take up to 20 minutes or more to complete. Let us know if there are any errors or issues.

sfc /scannow
DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth

Once it is completed then check and see if you're able to install

Thank you for all the advice and the suggestion to go to The Windows Club website.  I had not been aware of this site and it was a great help.  Issue has been resolved.

The Windows Club had a Program Install and Uninstall Troubleshooter which I ran.  Was able to install TurboTax after that.

Okay thank you for the update. Post #7 should have been able to correct it as well but regardless, the important thing is you've got it working again now.

Take care and have a great weekend
