Over the past several days my computer has been experiencing crashes (Blue Screen Of Death) and according to the blue screen reason, what failed is mwac.sys.  I have tried to uninstall MB using the clean tool and reinstalling it, but I still had a crash since then.  I've attached a pic of the BSOD with the reason and the .dmp file of that crash.

Please try the BETA and see if it solves the issue.

If you do you have 2 choices,

Turn off web protection

Revert to 3.8.3.

Before you do that...

    Download Malwarebytes Support Tool
    
    
    Once the file is downloaded, open your Downloads folder/location of the downloaded file
    Double-click mb-support xxx.xx.exe to run the report
        You may be prompted by User Account Control (UAC) to allow changes to be made to your computer. Click Yes to consent.
        
    Place a checkmark next to Accept License Agreement and click Next
    You will be presented with a page stating, "Get Started!"

    Do NOT use the button “Start repair” !
    Click the Advanced tab on the left column
    
    Click the Gather Logs button
    
    A progress bar will appear and the program will proceed with getting logs from your computer
   
    Upon completion, click a file named mbst-grab-results.zip will be saved to your Desktop. Click OK
    Please attach the ZIP file in your next reply.

 

You may wish to revert back to the 3.8.3 version while we continue to analyze what is causing this issue.

Use the support tool  to uninstall and after the restart click NO when it asks to install the current version.

The current KB articles will help you to set version 3.x from updating to 4.x for now

so far so good....I haven't experienced any more BSOD crashes....so it looks like the problem has been solved.
