Greetings,

Your logs show that you have 360 Total Security installed.  This application is known to prevent Malwarebytes from installing.  Please remove it temporarily and then install Malwarebytes, then you should be able to reinstall it and create exclusions between the two products to get them to work alongside each other.  For Malwarebytes, exclude the items listed in this support article from 360 Total Security and exclude 360 Total Security's program folder (likely under C:\Program Files and/or C:\Program Files (x86)) from Malwarebytes following the instructions under the Allow a file or folder section of this support article and do the same for its primary data folder, likely located under C:\ProgramData.

If you still have trouble then it could be due to AVG.  In fact, you really should just use one or the other, not both, so I would recommend removing either 360 Total Security or AVG AV from the system permanently otherwise you may have issues.

Please let us know how it goes and if the problem still persists.

Thanks

I did try an install with both AVG and 360 disabled. It did not help. I have had 360 and AVG installed for years and never had trouble with Malwarebytes updates until now.

You have to remove 360 Total Security; disabling it is not enough (we know this from several users with the exact same issue).  Please try uninstalling 360 Total Security, then reboot, then try installing Malwarebytes and let us know how it goes.

Thanks

You're welcome, I'm glad I could help.  As long as you set up exclusions between the two programs you shouldn't have any further issues, however if you have trouble getting any future new versions or updates of Malwarebytes to install, you'll know why and you should be able to work around the issue the same way.

If there is anything else we might assist you with please let us know.

Thanks
