Can you give me, pending a web protection by Malwarebytes for Safari - or better yet a web protection for macOS (like in MS Windows, so not just an extension) -, an opinion about the Norton Safe Web app downloadable from the Mac AppStore? Link to "Norton Safe Web from Mac AppStore".

In your opinion, can it have access to sensitive data such as credit cards, passwords, bank and social security data?

Thank you

Good weekend

Haven't been a Norton fan since Symantec bought and ruined their products. Haven't allowed any Symantec/Norton product on my Mac since then. Note the ratings of Norton Safe Web are almost all one star. I doubt that it provides much better protection than what Safari already has (Google Safe Browsing).

I suspect that it must have access to sensitive data in order to do it's job. The question is, what, if anything does it do with that data. You'll have to read and believe their privacy policy to find out.
