v4 GUI issues - can't add exclusions from scan report

Recommended Posts

I'm disappointed with the version 4 GUI. Why is it so difficult to add exclusions. Why not put an icon next to reported items to add it to allow list directly from report? Or from History (found reference to that location in another forum message). I tried adding a file by copying it from saved results text file and got error that I don't have permission to open file. I don't want to open it. I want to add it. And where do you add registry items? I know how to navigate programs and use advanced features but this is ridiculous. Why did you remove feature that worked?

Greetings,

To exclude registry items (or anything else detected by a scan) simply perform a scan with Malwarebytes then once it completes, uncheck the box next to each item you wish to exclude and click Next or Quarantine (it will change depending one whether or not any items are still selected/checked for removal) and then you will be prompted on what to do with the remaining detections; select the option to always ignore and those items will be added to your Allow list/exclusions so that they are no longer detected.

Unfortunately there is no way that I know of to add a registry item to exclusions manually, so a scan is required.

Not under the current versions of Malwarebytes Consumer, you cannot manually add Registry entries to exclude. The suggestion to allow manual exclusions for the Registry has been submitted to Engineering though.

Thank you
